I had a pair of linen trousers custom-made for my bf at New Moda Custom Tailors and was very happy with the whole experience. He speaks good English and was extremely helpful, especially when I had taken some of the measurements incorrectly. I came back the next day for the fitting, and when the waistband turned out a little too tight, he immediately said it was no problem and adjusted it for me. The finished trousers were ready the following day and he brought them to our hotel. The price was 2,000 baht, which I think is a very fair price. The price included everything from the beginning — buttons, pleats and double lining, with no extra charges. The quality and workmanship are excellent, and the trousers are very well made. I was extremely impressed with the quality of service at New Moda Custom Tailors. There are many options in Chiang Mai, but I doubt any come to close to New Moda’s customer service. I came in looking for a new suit and two dress shirts, and I am difficult to fit since I have wide shoulders and back. The original drafts were done in 24 hours. They fitted me, listened to my feedback, and made changes 3 times total over the course of 2.5 days. I had to leave Chiang Mai the afternoon after the 3rd fitting, and Gary made sure to finish my requested alterations before I left the city and even brought the clothes to my hotel to drop off. I had an excellent experience with this tailor. I ordered a custom suit, vest, trousers, and two shirts, and the whole process was very professional from start to finish. The staff had a great attitude and very friendly approach. They took detailed measurements and invited me for several fittings, carefully adjusting everything so the clothes would fit perfectly. You can really see that they care about the final result and about the customer. What impressed me the most was the speed and precision. In just 6 days, everything was perfectly tailored to my body. Mein Freund hat sich einen Anzug und ein Hemd anfertigen lassen. Nach einer netten Beratung zur Stoffauswahl am Morgen konnten wir am selben Abend noch vorbeikommen und er konnte die Hose und das Hemd schon anprobieren. Am darauffolgenden Tag war dann der Anzug schon komplett fertig. Wir sind begeistert von der Freundlichkeit und vorallem der Schnelligkeit. Sehr empfehlenswert. ~ Loreena S

I worked with John to make two suits and two shirts. John was very helpful and patient with helping me select the best material for me. As in all shops, there is a range in fabric quality. The best quality in one shop maybe the middle in another. New Moda's range of fabrics were really good quality and reasonably priced to match. They made a huge effort to make sure they fit. I went in for two fittings and everything came out perfectly. The first fitting was to make sure they are on the right track and make sure I like fit. Second fitting was to perfect the look I wanted. I was extremely impressed with the workmanship. Liners in pants to stitching on inside of jacket. Will 100% order again from there and won't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. ~ Justin K

John,Lucky and team were extremely helpful in my short stay in Chiang Mai. Even though i was there for effectively two days, they readily accept my order and got to work immediately. Once i finished my first fitting, i was impressed with their quality and their hospitality that i decided to buy two more shirts. They are also very fluent in their English and pleasant to talk to. They shared many of their stories with me while we were doing fittings or measuring. They are not out there just for your business. I decided to get a couple of sport jackets while in Chaing Mai. I chose New Moda Custom Tailors based on the positive reviews primarily. I went there on a Wednesday afternoon. Max and Giri were fabulous in helping me narrow down my choices. My first fitting was that evening (image attached) and decided to also then have some pants made. They took my measurements that night. I came back Thursday evening for a second fitting on the jackets and first fitting for the pants. Friday evening they were done and I tried them on to confirm a perfect fit. They even had them delivered to my hotel for convenience. Such personal and professional service. I happened to have chanced on New Moda Tailors while visiting the night bazaar area in Chiang Mai. What drew my attention was the quality of the suit on display and to say I was impressed with the quality of work done for me is an understatement. I ordered a suit for my self, my brother and a jacket for my father. By the next evening, it was ready for fitting and it required very little adjustments. I eventually picked up my order the following day and I couldn't be any happier. The price, I must add is one of the best you can find in Chiang Mai. Giri and his crew went to great lengths to build custom suits for myself and a friend. They gave us access to top quality Thai Silk and crafted 2 epic pure silk suits. When I wear them people are absolutely blown away and assume they are $3000 suits, the silk fabric dazzles the eye and the fit is so perfect that I feel practically no resistance in any direction, very difficult to achieve with such materials and my shoulder profile. Pictured is one of the Kashmere variants I had commissioned as well. Pictures of the Silk god-teir suit will follow shortly... Give no credit to those whom seek to sully New Modas legendary reputation, they clearly didn't give Giri a chance, or have outrageous expectations, and their other reviews prove it. Moda Fashion was recommended to me by a friend and I went there to do a costume and a shirt . First I have to say that I was received with smile and courtesy , Mr Prakash was very good to recommend fabric , color , style and he really did a personalized job . The result was a perfect costume , fitting without any critic . The shirt is also modern , excellent quality and " chic " . Also price is very competitive and he doesnt try to reduce cost by choosing cheap fabric . We have the best quality and style for very affordable price . I also asked them to reduce size of one of my costume ( I lost weight ...) and the result was sincerely perfect fitting , as if it was originally done for my actual size !! Fantastic experience and beautifully made end products. I had 6 business shirts made to refresh my work wardrobe. The fit is superb and I'm receiving plenty of compliments. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of these shirts. Yes you will see signboards around Chiang Mai for cheaper packages of suits and shirts but when you enquire about them these are with the most basic fabrics and very little customisation beyond your size. I took the time here to select some contrasting fabrics for cuffs and collar and placket. Selected the collar style, cuff style and button placement. Nothing was too much trouble. The fit is so good and knowing they have my measurements on file. I'm keen to place my next order with them online even if I can't get back to Chiang Mai as soon as I'd like to. ~ J

Les premiers prototypes de vestes et de pantalons était prêt en a peine 24h. S'en suis alors 2/3 essayage pour les dernières retouches. Leur travail est très sérieux, je recommande fortement cette adresse. Les délais sont courts (assez long pour faire un travail propre) et les prix reste très correct pour la Thailande. Ich war mit, um für meine Freundin ein Kleid nähen zu lassen. Als sie mich dazu überredete ein Anzug und ein Hemd schneidern zu lassen, war ich Anfangs skeptisch. Doch der sehr nette Designer beriet sehr gut und ging bei der Anprobe auf all meine Wünsche ein. Alles in allem ein sehr guter Schneider mit perfekter Qualität! My husband decided to do some alteration on his 15 year old suits while in Chiang Mai. The first night we had asked several highly rated tailors but none of them were eager and willing to take the risk for alteration. We ended up with new moda. They were very helpful and kind and happy to do it. John, the boss and Lucky went above and beyond for my husband, not minding to change every little detail and not minding to work late at night for us. My husband ended up not just doing the alterations but also making a few new shirts that have excellent quality and they fit perfectly. The price is also very fair!
